But, not everything about the winter was bad. I, for one, love the winter fashion with the stylish sweaters and the trendy leather jackets!

In fact, stowing away the jacket might be the hardest thing one can do once the winter ends. If you simply care for your leather jacket correctly, it can last a lifetime. This staple winter wear can also effortlessly raise the style quotient of any outfit. The good news is that you do not have to pack away the jacket just yet because the air can get a tad chilly at night even in this weather. However, you may want to add some more bling to the monotonous hue and give it a new look for the spring season.

Therefore, we bring you some simple and easy DIYs to spruce up your leather jacket to make it perfect for spring-wear:

The studded clothing trend took the world by storm just a few years back. Now you can find uber chic rivets in all sorts of accessories and clothes. So why not use these studs to add a little edge to your simple jacket?

The modest dome-shaped studs are relatively simple as compared to the other studs but impart a classic look to your plain jacket. Each stud has two to three prongs throughout the circumference. Begin by making a dent in the leather, using the prongs on the dome stud, wherever you want to place it. Poke holes in the leather on the dent marks. Put the prongs through the holes and fold from the other side using nose pliers.

My personal favorites are the square pyramid rivet studs. They have one prong in the center of each side that you can poke through the fabric. You can put these studs on the jacket using the similar technique as the dome studs.

Spike studs also come in a variety of styles. The key to a get the ultimate rocker chic look is to use these spikes in moderation and aligned in straight rows. You can always experiment with different sizes but make sure they don’t appear too unruly. You can screw the spiked studs on the leather once you have made holes in the fabric.

Le mie borchie preferite, però, sono quelle piramidali a base quadrata. Hanno un dente al centro di ogni lato e potete attaccarle alla vostra giacca seguendo gli stessi steps delle borchie tonde.

Infine sul mercato potete trovare le borchie a forma di cono appuntito. Sono le più rock e potete mixare altezze e misure diverse per creare il vostro look. In questo caso vi consiglio di bucare la pelle per prima cosa e poi inserire le borchie.

The combination of pearls and leather jackets looks extremely fetching and intriguing. Pearly beads are also an ideal embellishment for the spring season. All you need to attach the pearls on your jacket are a pair of scissors, a needle, and some thread. Place your pearls on your jacket in any design you like and mark their position with a pen. Then sew individual pearls one at a time on your jacket. The process can be time-consuming for some, but the final result is totally worth the effort!

There are so many other ways to adorn your leather jacket for a more feminine look. You can bedazzle with diamantes in various colors or in the classic sparkly silver hue for a monochromatic appearance. Most diamantes can be stuck on the jacket using good quality adhesives.

Sequins are another sparkly embellishment that can elevate the charm of the basic jacket. Similar to the diamantes, you just have to glue them on. You can go all out by choosing different colored sequins or give your jacket a Michael Jackson makeover with only black sequins glued all over the black leather jacket.

You can also experiment with acrylic paints. However, there are a few tips to remember before you put your brush to the jacket:

Make sure to wipe the leather surface with Isopropyl alcohol to clean and remove any coating from the jacket
Use a thin coat of paint so that it is absorbed in the leather and does not crack when you flex the material
Not all kinds of paints are suitable for all types of leather so do your research and choose wisely
Remember to do a test patch of the paint in an inconspicuous area of the jacket and leave it for a few hours before painting on a bigger surface

Per prima cosa pulite la superficie con dell’alcool
Quindi usate uno strato molto fine di pittura che non rischi di screpolarsi durante l’utilizzo
Tenete presente che non tutte le tipologie di acrilico sono adatte alla pelle, per cui accertatevi di fare le dovute ricerche e leggere bene l’etichetta
Provate a dipingere una piccola area nascosta della giacca prima di procedere con in resto
